Amazing place to eat. Very clean. There is a bistro, you can sit and eat your sandwiches and soups at lunch time. I was visiting hamilton and was tempted to try their sausage. I always got some take our soups.
Great deli stuff, great cheese and much much more.
Toblerone chocolates were 99cents each.

Loved this place. Lots of European grocery items and goodies. Large selection of international cheeses, good quality deli choices. Have their own range of sauces, etc. Meal is excellent quality. And a great place for a quick meal. This is the original store, they have another location in Hamilton, plus Stoney Creek, Burlington and Oakville.

I love the fact that Denninger's carries so many European foods, condiments and household supplies. I can recognize so many of the brands from home.
The hot counter is extensive and they have a decent breakfast and lunch selection. Their coffee isn't bad too.
Plus points for the eating area and the patio outside. The prices aren't too bad either, $5 for a (very tasty) breakfast sandwich is about average. -

So, if you are in the Hamilton area and looking for some gourmet selections for a dinner party or for yourself -- then Denninger's is the place for you to find them.
We stopped in here and were very pleased by the selection on offer.
What we noticed:
- so many types of condiments - vinegars, mustards, dressings, pickles -- worldwide in the selection --- if you can't find it here, I don't know where you will find it
- they also had some UK specialties -- my mom loves "snowballs" - an english confection made with marshmallows, chocolate and coconut. They are hard to get, but they do have them here.
- great selection of cheeses and all kinds of homemade sausages
- home made pastries and desserts - lots of european packaged cookies and cakes and chocolates including Mozart and chocolate covered marzipan
Basically if you are looking for that hard to get ingredient -- check out Denninger's - you'll find it here!

I've been coming to Denninger's for years now. I love their sausages and their schnitzel. Prices are very reasonable.
However, I tried the coleslaw for the first time this month and it was awful. So sour. I ended up taking it home and mixing in more veg and it was still barely edible.
Still would recommend it overall, worthy of their legendary status in the Hamilton area.
